Feeling Fall 2011
The air is hot and humid, and the leaves are still firmly green, but that doesn’t stop me from daydreaming about fall fashion! Here’s what I’m excited to wear:
Top row: YSL Lipstick, Bloomingdale’s, $30. Clutch, Modekungen, $79. L’Wren Scott Bouclette Skirt, Barney’s, $1,105. Dress, J. Crew, $168. Maison Martin Margiela Vest, Barney’s, $1,525. Middle row: Sheer shirt, Topshop, $70. Ankle booties, Seychelles, $99. Sequin dress, Matthew Williamson, $4,375. Green maxi skirt, Topshop, $80. Oxford shirt, Topshop, $56. Bottom row: Riding boots, Rupert Sanderson, $1,145. Tweed mini skirt, Erdem, $589. “Wicked,” Essie, $8. Leopard clutch, Alexander McQueen, $1,375.
I’m craving tailored tweed minis, floaty maxi skirts, elegant riding boots and fierce ankle booties, pops of leopard, structured button-downs (both sheer and opaque), bold lip colors, and the most sequins per square inch possible. Whether you call it downtown prep, structured glamour, or simply fun, I’m looking forward to trying my hand at the look. It feels like a marriage made in heaven between my former Blair Waldorf obsession and my impending move to NYU. What do you think?
Which trends and looks do you want to experiment with this fall?
