Lookbook: Daniela Corte Dress

September 11, 2010

I had the loveliest afternoon in Boston with my friend Alexandra. Our first stop was Copley Square, where we took these photos:

Top, Urban Outfitters. Skirt, J. Crew. Socks, American Apparel. Flats, Tahari. Bag, Michael Kors.

Everyone was laying out in the square! The weather was practically too good to be true: sunny, breezy, warm, and perfect. After a quick photo session, we headed over to Daniela Corte’s sample sale. What a treat! There were so many gorgeous pieces. I tried on everything from a printed silk wrap dress to a bright chartreuse tank. Ultimately, I came home with this dress:

Dress, Daniela Corte. Scarf, vintage. Coat, Zara.

Pardon the sucky lighting, but I love the dress. It’s the most perfect jade/teal/gray combo, plus it has Daniela’s fantastic seaming. I had to put it on the minute I got home! I’m obsessed with the flirty, flouncy sleeves, the soft scoopneck, and the slightly flared skirt. It’s ideal for transitional dressing (summer to fall), but can you imagine it in the winter with textured tights, black boots, and a heavy coat? I’m excited already!

xoxo Hannah
