Photoshoot: Central Park

October 24, 2010

This is the fourth and final installment of my photoshoot series! If you missed the beginning of the series, Part 1: Prep School can be found here, Part 2: Party Girl can found be here, and Part 3: Breakfast at Tiffany’s can be found here. The entire series was shot by Ari, who has quite the eye for photography! Check out her blog here.

The shoot was inspired by New York. I created four distinct looks that could easily be found on a real New Yorker. Each outfit has such a different personality, but together, they form a cohesive group. I named this portion of the shoot “Central Park.” After all, what can represent the city better than Central Park? I always make sure to spend a little time in the park whenever I’m in New York, so I had to include a park-inspired outfit in the shoot.

Central Park

Skirt, Topshop. Tee, Old Navy. Tights, street vendor near FIT. Pumps, Jessica Simpson. Headband, Tasha. Pearls, gift.

I think this last set of photos was Ari’s best! By this point, the model/photographer vibe was very smooth and comfortable, so most shots turned out very well. The foliage was incredible and the outfit popped against the colors of the park (right behind Wellesley Town Hall). I’m so happy with the way these turned out!

That wraps up the photoshoot. Over the next few days, expect a return to regular posting. I have a few ideas in mind, so keep an eye out for something new soon. Enjoy your Sunday!

xoxo Hannah

    She walks in beauty, like the night
    Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
    And all that’s best of dark and bright
    Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
    Thus mellow’d to that tender light
    Which heaven to gaudy day denies…
